Got my new psa in this weekend. Have not shot a recurve in years only longbow. 53@28 58” long. What’s a good starting point with arrows? I do have a good tip test kit coming just curious what others think. Thanks I’m advance.

Some of that depends on your draw length, not just the bows rating at 28".
Are you wanting to shoot wood, carbon or aluminum?

yea sorry. I understand the draw length and bows rating and such sorry. I actually draw 28", going to shoot 200g heads. My Gold tip test kit will be here tomorrow. Based on everything I know and am reading, it will either be 340's or 400's. Was just curious others with that set up about where they were. Thanks sir.

I would probably shoot .500's with 150 grain broadheads with that setup, but with 200 grains, you may well need .400 spine.

The PSA is cut 3/16ths past center I believe. You can probably get 500s to work but not with that weight up front. Probably 340s or fairly short 400s.

I think the .400s will work. At least, that's where I'd start. Unless you're a gap shooter, cut one an inch longer than your draw length and test it.

My PSA is 52@28 and I draw 28 1/2". I cut my arrows 30" to have room for my Simmons Treeshark heads. I also shoot 200 grain target tips. I had to go with 340's. 400's were just a tad weak.
