I only knew David through many trad and prayer threads, but he was very selfless and continued to encourage and pray for others throughout this whole ordeal. I know he has a special place in heaven. Godspeed, Doc.

Sad to hear this. As Ken mentioned, I hosted Dave at a St. Jude hunt at my cabin.  He was an integral part of the St. Jude auction every year and did so much to make those fundraisers successful.  Prayers sent🙏🙏🙏

I had been keeping up with Dave during his final days. I never got the chance to meet him but we had several conversations about our prostate cancer. I was in remission from stage 4 but it appears to be coming back.  Even though I know Doc is now in a better place my heart just sunk when I heard of his passing. We will meet one day at the big campfire.

Requiescat en Paz Doc Nock.  Have had several conversations via TradGang with Doc, last was many months ago and he was concerned with his health and the care available.  I'll miss our chats.

So sorry to here this.  He and I connected thru Tradgang and shot together a few times before we each moved.  He really enjoyed shooting with my son, Austin.  Used to call him Awesome.
Called and emailed a few times thru the years but hadn't communicated recently.  Was just thinking of him last weekend when I was back in the area we met.  Really good dude

I met Dave through Kirk at Bigfoot Bows when I had asked if someone in my area had one of his that I could shoot. He got me in contact with Dave and from the very first contact I had with him he was nothing if not warm, welcoming, and friendly. He invited me over to shoot his bow and insisted on making me dinner as well. That was the start of a great but far too short friendship. Dave walked to the beat of his own drum and when he got it in his head he was going to do something there was no stopping him. Shortly after I had met him he decided he was moving to Tennessee for the lower cost of living, and hopefully, better hunting and fishing opportunities. Unfortunately, that was the last I saw of Dave but we emailed nearly daily and had the occasional phone conversation. I miss our chats but am glad he is no longer in pain. He was a stubborn old bugger but had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. He is truly missed by all that knew him including myself. He had a strong faith and if there is that "happy hunting ground" which we all strive to see, he will absolutely be there doing what he loved with a trad bow in hand.  Good Bye my Friend...

It was never my privilege to meet Dave. We talked back and forth a few times about some things we had in common. He was on my prayer list and each time I lay down at night to say my prayers there is always an emptiness in my heart. Things just don't seem right not seeing his Post anymore. Sometimes people you don't even get to meet affect you that way. Rest in Peace Dave.

He is at peace but sad for him going so soon.
