Footing carbon??

I have some carbons I would like to strengthen the tip.I have seen guys put a 2-3" pcs of aluminum arra at the tip end and was wondering if someone could help me.What size alum. would fit snug over a CX100.

There's an arrow diameter/ footing fit chart floating around here somewhere, and it worked well for me. Don't remember quite where it was- How-to, maybe?
Hopefully somebody will post up a link, but if not do a quick search in Powwow or the How-to sections.

Just some advice from a guy who just made up a dozen footed carbons. Put some footing at the nock end too. I did on some and didnt on others. The nocks split three of the unfooted shafts on relatively soft impacts. I would think even a 1/2" would work for that end.

I think it's 2216's that will fit over your shafts. I'm not 100% sure tho.
