Vintage Recurve "WILDCAT 0977" Information & Valuation

Hi,

I'm trying to help a widow neighbor properly rehome some vintage archery equipment. One item is a recurve bow that looks to be made of Zebrawood and green and black fiberglass (?). The only branding mark is a cat's face with the label WILDCAT 0977. Please see pictures attached. I'm wondering is anyone knows the manufacturer and an approximate value?

I found one post from several years ago on another archery site indicating the bow may have been made by a company in the UK called Marksman that is no longer in business. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated...

It's not a Marksman bow & they didn't make a model named "Wildcat".
Dunsdon/Daco/Astro Daco (Canadian) did a "Wildcat" but it was 64" & didn't look like that.

.... perhaps something made in 'merica by Ben Pearson or Indian .... for one of the dept stores

Looks a lot like the Pearson Hunter.
Same shape, length and the deep thumb rest are what make me think it might be a Pearson-built bow.

Pretty wood.  You can look up Pearson hunters on the 'Bay.  Model 709.

Construction, writing and label all look like Pearson to me.

Locksly Wildcat.   Have one in 42#.  Locksly is an alternate  brand of Ben Pearson bows. The Wildcat is the same as the Ben Pearson Hunter.  It is worth what someone will pay... no more,no less.  Best to check Hunter and Wildcat values on e8ay.

Hey, I have had someone suggest it is a Tristate Archery bow from  Connecticut made in the 1960s. I found the catalog online. Tristate made a Wildcat model, but it is a different length.

To compare, contrast .... & confirm it's a Locksley, here's a Locksley "Puma":

- the style of the stencilling is the same


-the handwriting is the same, using part of the stencilled model no.
