Bushytails

I don't know about anyone else but the older I get the more I enjoy a day out hoping to get a shot at a grey squirrel more than I do sitting still for hours waiting for a deer. They are tough to sneak up on and when they see you, all hell breaks loose. I almost have to say the shot is even more challenging. Who knows maybe I'm regressing.

I love squirrel hunting as well, both for the fun and the food aspects of it. Never tried with a bow though but this year I tipped two arrows with blunts just to give it a try.

Back when I was a kid... EVERYTHING got a broadhead!!!

Now that my Bear Razorhead supply is getting down.... (about 2 dozen)
I carry one less broadhead arrow, and a Judo "just in case"  :archer:

(I just can't pass on a tree rat shot)
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

It’s about the most fun I have with my clothes on 😂 our squirrels about all died last year though. Late frost made zero mast crop. Only seen a few this year. It’s crazy. Be a while before they come back.

Absolutely love taking a shot or three at squirrels.  And if I am lucky enuff, fried squirrels, homemade gravy, and biscuits!  Doesn’t get much better!

Like Charlie, I consider them a target of opportunity
...because bow hunting always involves the same essentials. One hunter. One arrow. One animal. -Don Thomas
