I currently only have one bow.. of my own that I shoot.. For some reason, every bow I built for myself this year found a new home! When I realized it, I quickly put two more in the works.

We do without this or that to pay the bills, I see no reason in not having every bow I want... as long as it's not taking  food off the table.

I have hunted with the same bow for 21 years now. I could never explain to others what that bow has seen over all those years. Anytime I ever even looked at another bow it felt like cheating on my wife which would never happen either.

I've only used one bow for the last 5 years. I own 3 bows that are heavier than what I shoot these days. I have an old Root recurve that's labeled 15# that I keep around for the grandkids or whatever. I have an all glass bow that I bought to carry in the canoe. I have a Omega in my weight that had a limb tip pop off and I haven't got around to gluing it back on.

The one bow that I've been using the last 5 years is a Tradtech Trident with W&W glass limbs.

Exactly how I felt not taking Pigger to Akaska this year.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Well chuck, you know me :banghead:

So you all, let me ask, who has only 1 knife. For me same principle.

My bows  are tools. I like my big jim thunderchild a lot but if I haven't shot in a while , I will start back with a lower weight 45 lb bow to work out bad habits and get my muscles back up.

Then if I'm not feeling nostalgic and hunting with an old bow, I'm hunting the thunderchild unless I'm rabbit hunting or bowfishing.

Sometime I will get around to building arrows for 2 longbow. Both gifts that I really like and shoot well nuff.
Relax,

Hey chuck ML makes some fine knives. You say you only have 1 hunting knife, but I assume you have steak knives, a carving knife and other cutlery?  My point being is a bow is a tool. I have several for various tasks.

Yep, I have 1 bow I like to shoot targets with, I have 1 bow I like to hunt with, 1 bow to feed my Fred Bear nostalgia, 1 Bow that I always wanted, 1 Bow that is wicked, 1 bow that was made the year I was born..........dman I could come up with tons of reasons why I need 1 more bow.
