This morning was pretty cool. Had multiple bucks cruising around. I had some does start to come by also, but every time they got close a buck would fly by and there goes the doe!  All of these deer seemed to go by the same white oak. I thought I would walk by but at a good distance to see if any good places to setup for the next morning. I found a nice trail with rubs and scrapes down it as well. I thought this would be good to setup on. I was able to get out this evening and thought I’d try there. As luck would have it I looo up and see a doe coming straight to me. It had a smaller deer with it I thought was it’s fawn. They both come straight to me using the low side of a shallow ravine to skirt down into a deeper bottom.  passing at al most 6 steps from the base of my tree I had to reverse cant my longbow out of my climber and released the shot.  landed perfectly and I watched the deer tip over down in the bottom! I turn around a big doe was looking around. None of them had spooked and I was so focused on the 2 I didn’t see there were 4! Doh! Turns out a button buck. Not my plan, but they are always super good eating. Black Widow PLX and the same Zwickey no mercy head I used to take my buck. Life is good.

Top stuff right there.

And you've got a young'un in tow too, great to see them involved.

Well done, on both  :goldtooth:

Thanks y’all!  Ended up with right at 20lbs of meat off it. Still took me about 3-1/2 hours to process. I got 68lbs off my buck.
