Got a Marbles in my pocket

Just was admiring my Marbles compass.
How old is it? I really don't remember but it has accompanied me on almost every hunt and mushroom excursion for more years than I care to admit.
GPS; I don't need no stinking GPS!

Super dooper cool.
I prefer the older compass'. The needles float better.
My Dad had an old silva that he used for years. I buried it with him so he wouldn't get lost "out there".

Nice one. If you go into Canada with it, expect lots of sirens going off when you come back through customs. That little glowing dot may get picked up on their sensors. Korean war era compasses or older have nuclear isotopes.
An old friend of mine had one in his pack when we came back from Newfoundland, it was pretty cool.
When we asked the customs officer why it didn't go off when we went into Canada, he said "we don't care what goes out, we care about what comes in".
