A tribute to my dad
« on: November 05, 2021, 11:37:26 AM »
My dad was a hobby knifemaker for 40 years. He passed away a week ago today and I am sitting here putting my final thoughts together for his memorial service. I have this knife he built for me 30 years ago sitting on the table as I look over my notes regarding what I plan to say about him tomorrow. As a preacher for over 30 years I have conducted over 200 funerals, but this is the toughest one thus far. We were the same kind of different. He built knives as a hobby and I hobby built bows.

Sad news and a wonderful keepsake.

My condolences.  Loss of a loved one is always hard.  Your family will be in my prayers.
