Just Breathe
« on: March 14, 2022, 05:48:10 PM »
Just breathe or I should say exhale. Lately I have been paying attention to my breathing during the shot sequence, and I find a dramatic difference of exhaling on the draw vs inhaling and the tension it creates. Sometimes it's the little things we do that matter most.

That's always worked for me. I inhale when I raise my bow and exhale as I draw. Controlling your breathing is the main way you can control your adrenalin "nerves". Sometimes I purposely raise my bow slower than normal so I can match my exhale on the draw to eliminate quick movements.

Me too.  I would only add that after I exhale during the draw, I breathe in a half breath and hold it until after I release the arrow.
