Mike Robin...

Mike Robin is about to pass...

Some of you might know of him... He was a bowyer... I conversed with him on another forum...  I visited with him when I visited my family who live outside of Philly... He was about 2 hrs. away... Super nice guy and easy to talk to... My kind of people... I hung out for a good half of the day... He showed me his shop, we talked shop and bow building, shot some arrows, had some beers and lunch where he shared how he used to like rock climbing when he was younger... He talked back then about having issues with cancer which is now finally taking him out...  He would not let me leave empty handed... He hooked me up with 3 chunks of local hardwood and a bag of smoked venison sticks that his friend had made... I was looking forward for the next visit and give him a few chunks of some select Sheoak...  That was supposed to be last summer but I got hit with covid and could not travel...

     My heart is sad...

Valhalla, Mike Robin..!!   See you on the other side...

Share any thoughts or stories if you would like...

Never met Mike, but knew him on another bow forum and always got a kick out of his avatar pic with the big Mickey Mouse-like ears. Also had good exchanges with him and learned some things from him on the forum. Seemed like one of the good guys. Godspeed Mike
