It's worth the ride to spearfish just to see the trout and wild game any time of the year.  It is Beautiful.  I have a Trad hunting buddy the lives in the Lead Deadwood area.

Silent Footed-
I live outside of the whitewood area in the black hills and am into traditional shooting. Well...trying to spend more time doing it again anyway. Spent a good amount of time out of the last several working on my house. Would be nice to run into some other trad guys in the area to goof around with. I know a few guys in the southern part of the hills but sometimes that gets to be too much of a trip to have time to do much.

I live in belle fourche. Used to live in spearfish, still hunt the hills every year. I do have trouble finding many traditional guys around. Good to know one moved in. Its great hunting and beautiful. The deer in the hills do have some interesting habits. Any questions feel free to message me. I'll toss up a photo of a hills whitetail

Hello Tom,
Good to hear about another around. Do you do much target shooting? It would be cool to get some people together and do some shooting without having to go to a 3d shoot that’s packed full of wheel shooters.

Yes I shoot quite a bit. There is a pretty nice outdoor range right on the edge of spearfish I like to go to. Its right next to an archery only hunting area as well. I know there is a shoot or two organized there each year but its mostly wheelers. I'd be all in on trying to get a trad shoot going

If you are one Facebook there is a page “Black Hills Traditional Bow Hunters”. It has a listing of activity’s going on out there. I think Forest Cain is the moderator. There’s a large trad community out there. Probably the largest in the state.

I used to have Facebook. Tried messaging the group quite a few times. Never got a single response.

A few years ago we were looking for a place to move to in NE Wyoming. Then i hurt myself and thought my bowhunting days were over, but I heeled up and got back at it. However, moving is not in the cards for us. An out of state hunt may be in the future. Ilove that part of the world almost as much as Quetico, which thanks to the commy Canadian government, that is now out of bounds for a non-vax redneck like myself. I would rather hunt antelope and birds than deer.

Sorry I haven’t been keeping up with these, and evidently the email notification isn’t working. I will have to try and look you guys up someday here and do some shooting
