Dual shelf bow

Finally got the bow I’ve been Jonesing for quite awhile. Check out this beauty. Riser Chechen , a Mexican hardwood. Limbs are Bocote. 64 inches and about 50 lbs.

Friend and Bowyer Tony Potter made it all by hand. Said he had about 100 hours in it. Now I gotta buy him drinks for the rest of my life plus one year. 😀

My go to hunting bows are both duo shelf, cursed with being an ambidextrous, on both bows shooting tapered wood arrows my nocking point is 1/8" above horizontal. Assuming that the center of the bow shown is the center of the grip, where does that put the nocking point under the arrow and does it workout to be the same displacement for left hand and right hand?

Cool idea.  How far in are the shelves cut?

Left and right nocking points are the same height. About a 1/4 inch high.  I’m a 3 under shooter. Bow has zero tiller.

Not sure on the shelves. They are skinny. Handle is beefy could be more center cut but they’re fine

For three under, it should be right in the ball park tiller wise. My duo shooter are 3/8" outside of center and they both shoot arrows that would technically be over spine, but that is what they like. It seems often an arrow likes to have something to fly around.

For some degree of center shot is a big deal, not so much for me.

I find the correct spined wood arrow flies where it is pointed.
