No, I was answering the Gobi price question in that post and the fact that I bought Altai's.  The Altai's arrived about 30 minutes ago.

I paid $785 plus $14 for express shipping.

I realize my post structure confused the issue.

I spent some time with he Uukha Altai limbs today.

My first impression of the quality of the limbs is very strong. Perfectly finished, very smooth, and solid feeling. Packed in nice, protective sleeves. I can not imagine how this could be improved. The limb tips are pretty tiny which means I have to use a stringer that does't go over the top limb. No big deal.

The draw weight of the Uukha on Lobo Riser (17" riser, short limbs making a 58" bow) is 39 pounds at my 26" draw length. I bought 60/40 limbs.

The draw weight of my Lobo with short TT RC Limbs is 43 pounds set up the same as above for the Uukha.

It is not dramatic the difference in drawing the two bows. The Uukhas are more pleasant to shoot; smoother and more quiet.

I chronographed both set ups with a XX75 arrow, 4" feathers - total weight 410 grains. I know pretty light, but I just wanted a pretty well-tuned arrow for the comparison.

-RC - 161 FPS
-Uukha - 159

I was hoping to get the same or better performance with the Uukhas compared with the RCs. Basically, the Uukhas shoot very close to the same FPS but at a 4 pounds lighter draw weight.

I bought the Gobi limbs, 45@28 and make a 64 inch bow on a 19 inch riser.  I have them on a 19 inch satori and draw 29 3/4 inches.
I've chronographed two arrows, my winter league arrow (heavy) and a bare shaft I'm testing for a potential dozen new arrows for this summer/fall.
With the 703 grain indoor arrow I clocked it at 163 fps. The lighter shaft wieghs 568 grains and shot 175 fps +/-  1 fps over 5 shots.
I've been very pleased with these limbs in every metric.

Nice Gobis!

You folks with long draw lengths sure get a lot out of your bows!
