Bow maker ??

I received this old one piece recurve. Anybody know the maker or where it was made?

Wings was(/is still?), from the early '80s, a German/Austrian distributor/retailer
of predominantly rebadged Korean (typically Samick) made bows.

Commonest model I've seen is the SAB 1-piece glass laminated recurve which came in a number of lengths: 58", 62", 64" & marked SAB58/SAB62/SAB64.
I've also seen 1 example of a metal riser TD recurve like a TD2 clone
& a Slazenger-lookalike 1-piece flat bow the "Pladfinder".

Not to be confused with Bob Lee's "Wing" in the USA!

Please show us the whole bow including any writing on the side or faces of the limbs.

A couple of pics. Must have been used some bad quality glassfiber since the glass have bucled on the tension side. There is no other writing on it.

I've not seen one like that before, few more questions:
- how long is it?
- does it have tip/nock overlays?
- Is there any other writing e.g. a model no.?

Made for the European market (non UK) as marked in KG & LBs.

Seems to be walnut handle/riser & hickory limb lams.

I'm guessing late '60s for that style & first thought is something by
Canadian cos. either Dunsdon "Wildcat" or Archery Craft (like "Centennial" but simpler).

2nd thought, as the "Pladfinder" looked like a Slazenger,
wondering if it could be a rebadged Slazenger "Demon", the description fits, but is it 66" length?
I've never seen one in the wood & this advert only appeared in '69 & not again.

I'd seen mention somewhere that Frantisek Hadas (Czech, a world champ at one time)
had some association with Wings
& I believe he did design & make bow limbs & maybe whole bows (also known for his work with Zopf),
so ....

Hello again. Measured along the belly from ntn unstrung 64 inches. No tip overlays and no string grooves on belly. Only writing is 17 kg =38 lbs. I am certain riser wood is not Walnut. The string that was on it is too long. Looks like we have a puzzle. Thank you for trying.

Forgot to mention that the limb thickness taper is rather severe compared to what we use today. Measuring with digital calipers the total limb thickness taper is close to .oo8 pr running inch.

there's a guy on one of the French forums with 2 Wings bows,
one the same/similar bow as yours
(that looks like the Slazenger "Demon"
& another Wings that looks like the Slazenger "Challenge").

He was also seeking info. but not getting much.
