HELP!
« on: August 17, 2022, 01:03:05 PM »
So I got an RER Vital recurve that I believe is the last one Kevin made before selling the company. The issue I have is a spot on a limb delaminating…it is my fault the limb got dinged pretty good where it happened a few years ago and I must not of got it sealed up well enough with glue afterwards.

Anyway the big question I have is there anyone willing to tackle this repair? If not is there anyone that can make me a new set of limbs to replace the set on it?

Thanks for any and all help in advance gang!

Can you spread it apart enough if its on the edge  to get super glue all the way in and saturate liberally to fill the void wipe of access that spills out and clamp it.Thats what I did on one of my bows and it worked.

Use a skinny finishing nail or needle etc. to spread it if its on the edge.

I used a can of air used to clean electronics to blow the glue in deeper in the tiny cracks to get glue as deep as I could on one of my bows. I was using an epoxy glue for the repair.

Thank you for the help so far guy’s.

So I don’t know too well how the whole process works but is it possible to have a bowyer remove the current glass on the limbs and re laminate them for me? I can imagine it wouldn’t be a cheap fix this way but that is more the route I had in mind if possible?

Thanks again for the help gang
