Eagle Scout Troop 77 Denmark South Carolina.OA Brotherhood Member,Sukea Sipo Chapter. It was all a blast. My son is currently a Wolf Scout in Cub Scouts.
The old order is passing. Swiftly receding into memory are the days of strong, earnest men who followed an atavistic yearning to pit their skills against wild animals.

Eagle Scout 1985.  My son turned 11 last month and joined Boy Scouts the next week.  He is the fourth generation of my family to be a scout in the same troop following in the footsteps of my great uncle, my dad, and me.

I was a Cub Scout, then a Sea Scout. I went back years later to become a Cub Scout Leader, then Venture Scout Leader. I ended up as the District Explorer Scout Commissioner, but the highlight was seeing my son make it to the World Jamboree in 2003 in Thailand.

Recieved my eagle in 1974, with oak cluster and 62 merit badges. Was still active until 1995 as Asistent scout master. Now my daughter is going for her gold award which is the equivlent of eagle. So you can guess that I am now more involved in girl scouting. But souting never the less Bush Wacker/ Mike N.J.

Got my Eagle Scout in 76-77 (i think have to dig up the card to see).  Went thru Cub Scout/Webelos got the Arrow of Light then.  Both my brothers made Eagle also.

Could cook better than my sister.  Made a bigger mess, nothing like cooking over a campfire, don't worry about a little spillage.

Come to think of it never got the Archery merit badge.

You need to add a choice for "never was a scout".
I am happy to have been a scout although I never made it to Eagle.
Also, I wouldn't put it "never followed through" to Eagle.  It is a tough road and some of us may not have been capable.
Congrats to all who did make it to Eagle.  I had the time of my life with the BSA.

Got my Eagle in 74 or 75.  Great lessons can be learned from sticking it out and finishing!

I have been in scouting since 1973, started as a cub scout.  I am now a Scoutmaster troop 176 Hawaii, Order of the Arrow, and Venture leader.  Scouts is a great place to get kids out doors.  My son and I share and continue to make great memories of hiking and sitting on top of the mountains talking about life.

Hi All,

I was a sixteen year old Life Scout when my troop folded for lack of adult leadership.  I've been involved as an adult volunteer (Assistant Scoutmaster) for eight years.

Girls don't get to be Eagles.

I acomplished my Eagle Scout in 1988.  Scouting introduced me to archery.  Scouting and the outdoor adventure experiences that scouting brought to me, are the greatest positive influences on my life.

Couldn't swim and never made it past 2nd Class.  No kids of my own I worked with my nephew's troop until he made Eagle, and then beyond.  Now I work with Scouts on the Shooting Sports, archery and shooting-rifle, shotgun, muzzleloading.
