Hummingbird Bows

I'm starting to catch up now on my Hummingbirds. I now have one made by James Parker, several made by Ben Graham, and waiting on limbs by James made for a riser made by Ben. That just about covers the list. I've had several Hummingbirds in the past that shot great. Hope to find a low poundage one of about 40# that will entertain me into later years. The thought that this 40# weight was what I shot as a 10 year old seems weird. Guess that this is just the result of growing old. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Don, I saw James' Hummingbirds last spring at the Tenn. Classic. James makes a pretty nice bow, doesn't he. How do they compare with Ben's?

Pat B, I can't say too much about James's bows yet. Hopefully, when I get the limbs being made by James. I can give an opinion. I hope that it won't be too long, but I know that he is busy. You're right, he makes a pretty bow. I have one of his bamboo backed longbows. It is a good looker and shooter, but I prefer recurves.

Ben Graham's bows were excellent. I only had one of about 10 that was just average, and it was one of his earlier ones. Most of them are beautiful in appearance, steady in hand, and deadly accurate. I can't imagine any way of improving on them. Ben was a master bowyer  and Linda gave him great support.They made a great team. James Parker is a talented bowyer, but Ben was a legend. Let's hope that James can carry on the Hummingbird tradition. That would be great.
