Does anyone use cherry as laminations? Or is it better suited for other uses? I have some that is 1" thick and 36" to 4 feet in length and 6" wide,I hate to see good wood lay around.

If you compare is to Red Elm, which is used...

If it is black cherry it appears to stack up well.

Red Elm is actually "Slippery Elm" "Ulmus rubra"

Ulmus rubra (slippery elm)

Black Cherry (Prunus serotina)

I have a laminated recurve that was made for me years ago that uses cherry wood. Nice shooting bow, and the cherry gets better looking as it ages.

I had a bow with cherry in the limbs and it was beautiful!
