New Longbow
« on: October 24, 2024, 03:59:32 PM »
I've been a recurve shooter for 50 years since I fell under the archery spell. Shot a few longbows, and enjoyed them, but never took the plunge. Was at a friend's house going through his collection and eyed up a LB he picked up at a sale years ago. Went out and flung a few dozen in the backyard and fell in love. He insisted on giving it to me, but I countered that I'd have to give him some cash. It's an old Longriver bow. Great shooter. 60# at 31", which makes it a dream at my 27" draw. Will post some pics later. Have a great season, everyone!

The Longriver bows was made by Gus DellaGhelfa from CT. Gus stop making bow around 2010. The workmanship is second to none . He was friends with Fred Anderson. I have a couple of his bows.
