Sasquatch ILF rig
« on: January 12, 2023, 10:14:48 PM »
I just finished up this ILF rig. I built a bunch of these things years ago, but haven't built one for awhile. It's amazing how much more time it takes not doing them all the time. Double checking all the measurements for milling and the set up took  longer than i remembered. :biglaugh:

This one is a 17" riser, figured Black walnut, G-10 Frame. The shelf was cut about an 1/8" past center for shooting off the shelf. I've built some that were 3/8" past center for using a Berger button and flipper rest, But  Allan didn't want that on his. The limbs have Myrtlewood veneers, long length making a 62" bow. Laying up limbs at 43 @ 30" required going from a .001 taper to a par on my static tip design.  I typically go .001 for this weight at 28" draw, but 30" the .001 is to squirrely. The stable core really helps on this design though......     She heads to Texas tomorrow or Saturday.
