I had the 62 inch Schafer.

Best thing abut the schafer was the grip.Feels great in the hand.It was like the recurve grip but smaller and shaped very nicely to fit the hand.It also had the checkering done which I really like.Milder reflex/deflex than the others your looking at.Not as fast IMO as the other ones on your list. But a stable limb design.Thier nice!

I have arthritis in my hands, particularly at the base of my thumb, according to my Doctor.  So a comfortable grip is very important to me. I have found particularly good grips (for me) in certain models of Liberty’s, Black Widows, Tall Tines, Northern Mist, Shrew , Javaman among others.

Stating the obvious, but sometimes bows are popular because they are that good, and the makers have a reputation for taking care of their customers.
