I have 8125, but only in six colors because I don't get that many orders for it (vs 20 or 21 colors of Dynaflight '97).
Hate to disagree with Rob, but 8125 is slightly different than Dyna '97. Dynaflight '97 and Dyneema '02 are 100% SK75 Dyneema, but 8125 is 92% Dyneema (BCY doesn't say what the other 8% is--my best guess is Vectran).
8125 is a smaller diameter strand, but almost as strong as Dynaflight (120 lb test vs. 125 lb test). 8125 is supposed to be a tad faster, but going with a low strand count may require putting a few wraps of dental floss at the nocking point for a proper nock fit--padding out the serving and/or double serving negates the benefit of a lighter/faster strings.
I'm about 4 weeks out on orders, but I'll be glad to help if I can--just shoot me an e-mail at
[email protected], or there's an order form on my site (
www.recurves.com).
