Archery Accessory Box

I’ve used a Plano brand tacklebox for tools/accessories for 40 plus years. I have worn my last one out and searched the web and found many options. I’m always wanting to improve whatever in life. So what are you using, you just may have an ideals I’ve not seen and would work for me as well.

I, too would like to know as I got zip locks full of points of various sizes, inserts etc, I need help here too!

   I use one of these for different field point weights,nocks,inserts and if you shop around they can be found at Wally World and Harbor freight .
   Good thing you can even stack them neatly on a workbench if you want to save room.
    Forgot to mention yesterday that the bins can be arranged around or removed as well.
   Good little bows to throw in truck if you go to a range or a shoot and want to take a few extra things with you .
   I actually could use another one in my shop and may buy another.
  I also think I got my at Wally World cheaper and it’s Blue in color.

After 30+ years I have long since exceded the capacity of a tool box.  Not that it is a good thing.  At this point I have bought shelf sized soft plastic bins for stuff  like bowstrings, calls,belts, cord/zip ties all which are too big for small chambers.  I have then bought a number of small square and round plastic containers with tops that click on and  use them for smaller items like field tips, boradheads,glue , what have you. The "Dollar Store" is a great source for a small price.   I once had a fishing tackle box, and years ago I had a soft flexible fold over plastic case with a bunch of small zippered pockets that was being sold for the same thing, but with an eye for travel use.  I haven't seen that for years but maybe still available through a business that caters to compound shooters.  At home I hve a closet with shelves for the boxes, and if traveling I take a few back up items that stickbow shooters might need (nocks,glue,extra glove etc and throw it all in a shoulder bag.  A zip lock should do.  The longer you are at it, the more you realize that you can probably do without.....

For the car I have one of those plastic tool boxes from Craftsman. Carries enough “stuff” for wife and me and lately helped out a few newbies at our indoor range. The house, I have a small room full of 50 years accumulated archery related “stuff”. I keep most of it in a five drawer plastic cabinet. Items like feathers, points, string, etc. I keep my fletchers and other archery tools, jigs on a set of shelves.

I put bulk fletching and my cresting lathe in my mechanics toolbox in the shop.  All of the small stuff and my feather burner are in a metal cantilever style toolbox that I used to use for my hand tools before outgrowing it.
