20 yds is my max at a deer! They just start to dive. At my favorite range of 15 yds they are good.

I'm shooting 400s 31.5" long with 100 grains plus the 18 grain aluminum insert up front at that DW.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I shoot 700 and 800s out of my 42# Whip, but it's more like 38# at my draw length.  Im not a fan of very heavy arrows as I find anything over 11 gpp has more drop between 20-30 yds than I like (many of our 3d targets are set within that range).  So I shoot for 380-410 grs.

Either one will tune just depends on how long of arrow you want to shoot. 29 1/2" 600 with a 250 gn. head or 31" 500 spine with about 300 up front. Ya just have to try one to find out. Gap shooter will like the 31" better, split finger instinctive will like the 29 1/2 "
Chuck
Kodiak Mag 52" 41 lb.
Kota Kill-Um 60" 42 lb.
Kanati 58" 38 lb.
Black Hunter Longbow 60" 40 lb.
