A fellow archer, "Hawk" and his son came across this mountain lion near Raton, N.M awhile back. Covering it's kill and apparently not too concerned.

Here's one more. Haven't spent the time to figure how to post multiple images on one thread but will one rainy day. Going to go shoot in 25 mph wind right now. Here in the Texas Panhandle that's a breeze. Pun intended. Good day to all!!!!!!!!!!

From that last picture it looks like that cat needs to be eating instead of covering it up!

Sweet pics! I was back in the country I had the run in with mine this week. Didn't see him but did find another kill. What part of NM, planning on moving down there in a few months

Very nice pics of a true predator.
Couple of years back we trailed a deer my buddy shot after waiting about an hour, noticed a small patch of white belly hair under a large pile of pine straw and leaves, sure enough something had covered it up after eating from the rear end. Although I have never seen them around here there are tales of long tail cats here in the coastal plains of South Carolina. Thanks for waking the memory.
