Sources for limb bolt "knobs"
« on: August 21, 2023, 12:37:19 PM »
May be picking up a 3-piece longbow and would like a set of limb bolts that can be installed/removed without an allen wrench. I've never been fond of the antler limb bolts but can go that way if I need too.
I've gained access to the property I hunt using a neighbor's field access road and I intend to use my mountain bike to reach my hunting area when I have a southerly wind. Rather than carry the bow in a scabbard or rack, I would like to just take it down and carry it in my daypack. Any suggestions are appreciated!>>-------> Mike

I think Schafer Silvertip sells the knurled steel knobs.

Some bows used to use socket head cap screws with the plastic knobs pressed on. You can find those at the local big box lumber or hardware store.
