" IM A HUNTER and I kill stuff and if its legal that's all that matters!"

I love eating wild game...finned, furred or feathered and what ever ethical/legal method it takes to bring some home. No x-bows or wheelies here. I'll go fishing instead.
I have a friend that will NOT eat commercially raised animals but loves venson, wild hogs and wild caught fish.
Mike I would love to try some zebra. Always heard warthogs were excellent too. But our southern wild hogs here are excellent as well.

Some arrow flingers will only shoot foam animals. ??? Whatever.

Old indian definition of vegan: lousy hunter

Hope all have a great season this fall.

Thanks for this topic and the input.

For some of us, we grew up very close to food sources. Our families had gardens, and froze or canned vegetables, and hunted for some of our meat. We also raised chickens for eggs and we butchered them ourselves.
Hunting and fishing was another source of food. Ducks, geese, deer and yes turtles. Hunting and killing animals was just part of life. Deer hunting included my grandfather, uncles, cousins, mom and dad. The first year I could hunt my mom, my dad , and I all shot deer.

In 1965 I joined my dad in hunting with a bow. Somewhere along the way I just started enjoying bowhunting more than anything else.

Also I remember reading an article about feeling a little sad about ending an animals life. I asked my dad if that bothered him. He looked at me like I lost my marbles and said “no”.  That was just our life.

There is enough division in politics.  You either have to believe one way or your the enemy!
Bowhunting is what I do to get away from politics and arguing!

If the game is legal to hunt and your hunting method is ethical, no real hunter is going to criticize you. All the rest don't matter.
