A slick little sharpener
« on: October 04, 2023, 11:40:15 AM »
I wanted to give everyone a heads up on this slick little sharpener I picked up from 3 Rivers last year. This is the 2 blade model, they also sell a 3 blade sharpener.

It has some pretty nice features for such a small package.

I originally bought it just to carry in my pack as a spare/backup but once I tried it, I decided to use it on my Ace broadheads that I'm hunting with this season. It does a good job on knives as well.

I know everyone has their methods and levels of "sharpness" they like for their broadheads and this little sharpener might not work for everyone but it works great for me so I thought I'd let you all know.

Yes, I have at lease 3 accusharps around the house.... but this goes in the pack!  Much more tote friendly!

Will this sharpener work with single bevel blades?

Dave, I think that it is only recommended for double bevel heads.

Ok, thanks. It doesn’t say anything about it in the description.

Dave, I couldn't find anything in the description either but I looked in the Q&A section and someone asked about double bevel heads.

I like the review and Q&A options 3 Rivers has. Their website is pretty nice.

Nic compact unit. They also have the grizzly stick dual that can handle single bevel.

I have one, but it never seems to get my Zwickeys as sharp as I would prefer. Seems I always have to follow up with a diamond stone.

It appears that the Grizzly Stick single bevel sharpener will only work for right bevel broadheads. Does that seem correct to others?
Thanks!
