Thanks, Jack.
Roy, we are doing fine but thanks for the offer. We saw the storm coming and prepared for it. We have kerosene lamps, cook on a gas(propane) stove and can get water from the creek on our property for bathing and flushing. Our neighbors got power a week before we did so we could get drinking water, cloths washing and hot showers from them. Once the culverts on our driveway get fixed in the next few days and I get a load of gravel on my driveway we will be back to normal. We have 5 households to share the expense and maybe some FEMA money.
Growing up in Savannah and living in Coastal SC we have been through hurricanes before so we came to the mountains in 1990 with that knowledge.
We get quite a few storms here anyway. Many hurricanes that hit the panhandle of FLA come up towards us here in the
Southern Appalachian Mountains.
