Check out the looks of this tip overlay  Its black and white ebony over phenolic. Kind of looks like a dragons eye to me...

That Dragon's Eye sure is a beaut, Kirk.  Great job.  If only you could get that effect in the side of the arrow-pass!

Sorry for stepping on your thread, Kirk. The dragon's eye overlays do look cool and a matching strike plate like Ken suggested would also look cool.  :thumbsup:

I suppose it could be done with a veneer inlay, but that would be tricky to pull off by hand.
