There is nothing scientific about the above results--- just me shooting.
Bow is an Al Kimery 60" 45#@28" 3 piece long bow. I'm pulling 26".
Arrows--- the lighter arrow is a Beman mfxs 600 w 130 up front for just about 400 grains. It is 29 5/8".
The heavier arrows is a Black Eagle Vintage 500 spine with 200 up front. 30".
Both arrows tuned very well.
Just posted this as I thought it might help someone starting out better understand what different weight arrows can yield (ymwv).
I'm in the middle of our bow season and the 500 arrow has been doing just what I need it to do, band my feeble mind might not deal well with a change when the buck shows up. But after tags are filled I'll likely switch to the 400 grain arrow as it is more forgiving out to 30yds (our typical long shot at 3d).
If you shoot instinctive and don't feel this info will help, just skip it.
