Some luck in WV…
« on: November 20, 2023, 08:35:02 PM »
I was home last week for my annual trip to bowhunt with family back where I grew up.  This year’s trip was shorter than usual as both kids had sporting events i didn’t want to miss on the bookend weekends.

I was lucky enough to kill two fine deer.  I had spinal fusion last January and wasn't up to my heavy bows this year so I worked on a few lighter poundage ones.  I got both of these with my new low poundage bows I picked up last spring.  The 8 point with my Browning Nomad Stalker - 49@28 (46 at my 27” draw), and the 5 point with a Black Hunter LB at 41 lbs at my draw.

The lower poundage did its job, putting 2 deer in my freezer.

Arrows are CE Heritage 150’s.  Shot one with a Magnus II, and one with a 3-blade VPA.
