The limbs on a 1962 Polar are not white, they are pale creamy yellow 3M fiberglass, the only year Bear used 3M glass. There was a popular theory in the early 1960's that accuracy with a field bow would be enhanced if the glass on the belly side 'disappeared' during aiming. The result was pale 'Ice Blue' on the 1961 Bear Polar, seafoam green on the 1961-62 Damon Howatt Ventura,, greenish aqua on the 1962 Bear Kodiak Special, light green on the belly side of the 1962-63 Browning Olympian, pale blue on the belly side of the 1962-63 Browning Diana.
