I drill a 1/8" hole 3/16" deep or so over the shelf and a small piece of lamination scrap. It will be covered with leather or hook and loop

I would rather fail at something above my means, than to succeed at something  beneath my means

I use very small wire in a string groove to hang the bow.

I use a loop of 40# test braided Spiderwire in the string nock, its so thin it barely leaves a mark.
Any man who lives within his means clearly lacks imagination

I Hang my one piece bows from the string notches with bow string or serving material…. But…. I spray the the tips first so I have the string grooves covered.

I’ve never seen anyone drill a hole in a riser just to spray them before. :o :o :o
