Thoughts on this style bow hanger?
«

I've been looking into a better solution for a bow hanger instead of the screw in style. I have used my lone wolf stand frequently this year and looked into one of these style bow hangers. My worry is that it would put a lot of stress on the limb? Especially with a recurve and a bow quiver fully loaded with arrows can be quite heavy. Anyone with experience that can provide some insight? Thanks

I have used a similar style bow holder on some of my Screaming Eagle treestands for close twenty years without any issues. On mine the edges are covered with a rubber grip material similar to that found on pliers to protect my bow. I hunt with a Great Northern bow quiver on my selfbow most of the time.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I don't use the style. Too easy to accidentally knock the bow out of it.
