Nice work. That's a great combination of wood and craftmanship.

Thanks again guys. I really think walnut is highly over looked in bow making. I like it better for core wood than I do Red Elm. This bow was a tough one to tiller. I couldn't get the top limb to bend at first and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then I noticed that the bamboo was thicker on the top limb than the bottom. I still don't know to this day how I did that but I did. So I had to take quite a bit more of the osage off on the belly on the top limb. Dean

Beautiful! Is that an osage lam that extends over the walnut handle through the fades? How far does it extend on the belly? Its gorgeous.

Steve to answer your question on the osage yes that is a thin lam that runs up over the fades. I heated it and bent it to run it up over the fades. It just goes past the fades a little ways. Dean

Dean that is a pretty bending piece of wood you got there!
I have been trying to build some bows myself, without near as good results as you. Great work my friend!

Very, very nice!!! I'm working on a boo backed hickory with black walnut handle. Nice to see what the contrast looks like on a finished bow!

I am getting my act together to build a couple of tri lam bows and have found an old fence row that has all the post made out of black walnut. The first piece I have worked is just beautiful. If it ends up looking anywhere close to yours I'll be happy. That is a stunning bow.
