Longbow minor repair
« on: March 21, 2024, 08:48:08 AM »
I have a few trad-bows that other people made. (I usually make and hunt my own). I don't have experience making anybows with fiberglass, I just stick with wood and wood laminates,

However, I have an Aspen Longbow that the hard, clear coat has chipped off of one limb tip. Is that something I can repair? If so, how do I go about it?

Or... Is there a guy or a bow shop out there that wil do it for me for less than my life's savings?

:)

Easy to touch up.  Just sand so there aren't any pronounced edges between old finish and bare glass and give it two-three coats of spray finish.  Deft, Varathane or Helmsman work well.
