What Ink Do You Use?
« on: April 03, 2024, 05:14:32 PM »
I've refinished a bow and I'm wanting to write the bow specs back on the riser before putting the final coat of finish on.
What type of ink do you all use that doesn't run or smear?

I got a silver/gold/white set on Amazon, in Extra Fine. That’s all I use. The tips are 0.7 mm.  I forget the brand, but don’t get Sharpie, they blot and/or dry up.

I had one silk screen made for a test, then I got a second one.
Because my hand writing with the Indian ink and ME look like poo. :banghead:
Yes I meant a bird in the high sky

This is the first one for a test, It did a good job so I cut it way down to 3 to 4".

It dry's very fast and I have to wash it out with water between bows if you are doing 2 or more at a time.

I would rather fail at something above my means, than to succeed at something  beneath my means
