New NM Classic
« on: March 01, 2024, 09:22:49 PM »
Got a new Northern Mist Classic (takedown) the other day.  It's pretty sweet.  Have had a Ramer for about a year and have loved it. Took a nice doe with it last fall.  Anywho the Classic is 68" green glass back and like a curly maple belly.  It's one sweet shooting bow.  Really no shock at the shot.  It's great and whisper quiet.  I will have to see if I can get use to 68"!

Good luck with your new bow.  You'll be making meat soon.

You'll be surprised at how quickly you'll adjust to the length.  I have an American that is 68" long and have had no issues with it.  I have hunted out of tents with my 66" bows, that gets a little more tricky, but is doable.  Steve makes some great bows!!!  Happy shooting!!!

It has a slightly dished myrtle handle, too.  Bow is 68" 43@28  Ramer is the same but the classic definitely has better cast! I sure wish I could figure out why pictures go sideways sometimes LOL drives me batty.  :bigsmyl: oh well.

I always admired folks who shoot longbow.  Closest I've come is mild D/R Kota Badlands 62".

Awesome choice, Steve makes a great bow.  I need to get on his list to make me another American in takedown, now may have to get a Classic too.

Yep, BEAUTIFUL Bow .
I'm no take down fan, having said that...Steve of Northern Mist Longbows & Big Jim are two of the top bowyers imho that make a takedown...well , not look like a takedown ;^)

Congratulations !
