I use bow quivers for a lot of reasons, but one of the main reasons is that I always have a backpack when I hunt.
I hunt the Rocky Mountains for elk and deer, and quite often find myself miles from base camp. I carry what I need to disassemble an elk, bag and hang quarters, and spend the night in a spike camp if necessary. So back or side quivers are out of the question. I've grown so used to a bow quiver that my hunting bows feel naked without one.

I never liked or used a bow quiver on my selfbows but on my Treadway long bow and Jeffery's recurve I preferred a bow quiver. The center mass helped me control the bow better. For selfbows I preferred the lightness and simplicity of the bow itself.
I see quite a few folks still use Kwiki-Kwivers. I added a quick release mount on my Climbing stand and carried the Kwicki Kwiver like a GFA style quiver with a para cord strap. Once I got in the tree then attached the Kwicki Kwiver to the stand. Where it was attached made it easy to get an arrow when needed while I sat.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

Yet another example of  how much we are all Very much alike, yet  Very different   :readit:

It's a personal choice with NO one size fits all answer....and that is ok.

If your asking for thoughts-opinions-preferences ......based on personal experiences.

.....having used about every style quiver made over a lot of seasons/years/decades from bow quivers , hip quivers , back quivers , and my own designed back worn side draw ......I just 100% prefer a NON bow quiver .

I find they (bow quivers) take away from the lightness & simplicity of  a well designed Longbow.
I don't like the extra flashiness-bulk-weight of arrows-fletching and quiver attached to my light and nimble bow ....I don't like the added size/mass on my bow to navigate through the stuff I navigate hunting.

Though I am very aware the bow quiver works near perfectly for many an archer/bowhunter...Just not for me. I prefer a well designed back worn/side draw quiver for all aspects of my shooting. Be it a Rove , back yard repetitions , and most importantly Bowhunting in all types of terrian/conditions........

If you have been at this for a good while , you will likely collect a wide assortment of various styles of quivers .....

Some will like and utilize many of those for various situations....some will choose one and run..... but you owe it to yourself to give all the wonderful choices we have in design a good honest try. You might just find the one that fits you and your style the best ! :campfire:

I'm sorry but I must Comment. If you can't shoot with a bow quiver on your bow then your form is off.

Your form has no idea whether you have a bow quiver on your boat or not.

The magic 'T" is just that.... magic.

I prefer a bow quiver because all others are junk trucks going through the brush

Small 4-5 arrow bow mounted quiver works for me creeping through the brush in Texas.  Fletching cover takes care of feathers getting caught and pulled out, or bright feathers flagging me, as I move through the brush.

I don't like noisy flashy.Extra movement noisy arrows, rattling adjusting another piece of equipment. And I actually like to kill stuff. That's why I use a bow quiver with a fletch cover. And I eat well.
