reheating smooth on EA-40

I have 2 risers I glued up with EA-40.  Fancy curve cut out on a jig I made.  Quite proud of them.  Due to my stupidity and a jointer fence out of square I now have 2  risers 1-3/4 inch wide.  I need to make them 2" again so I was going to cut them down the middle and put a 1/4" piece of maple in the center.  Can I reheat the blanks to reglue with EA-40 or should I do something else?

Just lay it up without heat… I rarely cook a riser even doing footings. I do put them in my spray booth and keep them at about 70 degrees or more overnight before milling them… The stuff doesn’t need heat to cure out properly.

I dont see a problem reheating-Most of my Hill`s have multiple glue-ups-Sometimes up to three

My question is why do you need a 2” thick riser?

You can reheat it wont hurt it a bit Ive had some of mine in the heat box as many as 5 times . I would not reheat it with more than the original temps .
