NEW N.E. OHIO 3D range

   A friend of mine that I got into Trad archery last year has set up a 30 target 3D course on his property in Burton. It will be open dawn to dark, $15 to shoot a round. Just stick your money in a box there and go. It'll be open Monday thru Saturday, no Sunday shooting as he's Amish.
   The grand opening is this Sat, May 4th. He's holding an open shoot to kick things off. $20 covers a round on the range and a lunch of cheeseburgers and hotdogs. 1st prize is a $500 Cabela's gift card, I believe there's a 2nd and 3rd too. It's not broken down into classes though. He has three stakes, the Trad will be mostly or all 15 to 20 yards, he may have one or two around 25, not sure though, and two elevated. He's heavy into Trad and wants the range to be realistic for hunting practice. The other stakes are for compound and Western.
   He will be having a Trad only competition the last Saturday of every month. Call for details.

I hope his endeavor is successful. He sounds very generous. Is he advertising locally with clubs and flyers at outdoor oriented retailers? If possible, post some pics of the layout.

He is advertising in various local papers that I know of and I did a shout out on 'Traditional Archery Society' for him. I hope to go over and look it over this week. It'll be new for him and I expect he'll be tweaking it as he gets feedback. This is a side business for him, he runs his own construction crew full time.
