Ryan I may have spoken too soon. Hadn't noticed in your first pics that you had narrowed the handle that thin. You are going to have to proceed as is. Doubt you are going to get much more than a 25"-26" of draw out of it at that length with 7" of non bending wood, especially without sinew, but it will be great bow building experience for you for when your other staves dry out.
There is always someone that knows more than you, and someone that knows less than you, so you can always learn and you can always teach

Great advice from everyone above. The experience you gain from this piece of wood will be priceless, enjoy.

I agree with that 25-26" draw limit with those rings at that length.  You have excess width from midlimb out, too.

Per Ferret's advice, tiller carefully to get it bending some all the way into the fades.

Neat looking so far.

The inside of your dorm may look familiar to me.  Lawlor (sp?) perhaps?  It's been a little while....over a couple decades.

well, i guess i'll shoot for 35-40lbs @25 and my sweetie will be getting a new carp shooter (how many girlfriends look forward to bowfishing????) SHES A KEEPER!!!

I'm even more excited now because, I'm not stressed about trying to get 29" out of her so I can just relax and enjoy the 'scraping and sanding' (DUH!!!)

As always, THANKS GUYS!!!! The people on here are second to none!!!!!

I'll keep you all posted!

Ken:
hmmm... well its a dorm called brock... and it was built in '89... so, similar but different. (the rooms are WAY bigger)
