attaching a Kwikee Kwiver
« on: July 31, 2024, 10:11:23 AM »
Has anyone attached a kwikee kwiver  mounting bracket to a bow using gorilla mounting tape? I dont want to tap my bow but would like to try a kwikee kwiver.
Thanks

You might try wrapping the spine with tennis racket wrap. Its tacky so it might not slip and move at all as you apply it with tension. I would wrap the Spine where you are going to wrap it to the bow 1st and then wrap the spine and the bow both together 2nd.

Hockey tape might work pretty well. It holds up in some pretty nasty conditions.

I mounted mine on a 4 inch long piece of 3/4 " by 3/4" aluminum angle.  Then cut off one side of the angle at ends.  Easy then to tape to bow.  Can send pic if you pm me a phone no.

3rivers sells a bracket that tapes to your riser with hvy duty 3 m tape and you can screw quiver in to the bracket. Problem solved

Unless you necessarily wanted to mount the KK to your bow what I did was added a para cord strap to the KK and added a KK quick disconnect to my tree stand at a place where it was convenient to retrieve arrows when needed.

Thanks guys, Not sure I want to wrap tape around my riser tho. No biggie tho I'll probably stick to the more expensive quivers meant for trad bows

If you end up using tape be sure and wax the riser or at least where the tape will be. This will help protect the bow and it's finish.

The Bow Wart from 3 Rivers works great.
My son has a 60s Bear Grizzly that has an AMS Bowfishing retriever attached.
Been using it for 3 summers now!
Also you could wrap with surgical tubing or the flat latex, exercise bands. I have a homemade bowfishing reel attached this way.
Wrap just like I attached my slingshot band to natural forked frames.
Have a great day!
