First Cedar Arrow
« on: May 21, 2008, 04:53:00 PM »
Here is my first completed cedar shaft. I just put the feathers on today so I have to wait until tomorrow to see if the length is right. I tried to go with a pretty simple crest since I've never really done it before and my crester isn't the best.  Think it looks pretty good... from a distance    ;)  .

There is something addictive about making these things.  Hopefully I'll have 4 more to go along with it by the end of the week.

Yeah, I will probably end up doing that too.  I only have enough feathers for a 1/2 dozen, so I'll have to order more before I make some broadhead tipped shafts.  I also plan on making a better cresting machine whenever I can find a sewing machine motor for a good price.

i love how everyone on here is so modest of their own work.

My grandma made pies all the time and all the time she would say this or that is wrong with it.  All I know is that she never made a bad pie and never made one that wasnt excellent.

Great arrows Jeff.  Keep em coming!!!
