bear hunt
« on: October 02, 2024, 11:16:21 AM »
I posted a picture of the bear I shot on opening day here in mn. This was one of the best bear hunts I've ever experienced, a total of 9 different bears. The reason for no hero pics after the shot I heard the death moan, after it ran a short ways I just sat down for 20 minutes, more to clam down then anything else. I decided to check things out so I got down out of my stand went to turn and all hell broke loose long story short I dislocated my right knee ripped the knee cap off and dislocated my left shoulder.  Thank God for cell phones and some really great guys. They found the bear about 50 yards out. Got me out of the woods and to er. Surgery 2 days later and hopefully I be hunting deer before to much longer.

Nice! Did you shoot the bear on the left that's standing up against the tree?

OUCH!!! Rotten way to end a good hunt. Glad to hear you will be okay, sounds awful nasty though.
