Np pics, but I have shot several = good as they get with pure true trad bows. They feel "heavy" in every way to me, but shoot straight and consistently. And Ed is an icon of our sport, so to own any of his art is both applause to him and an investment in the future of true trad archery. Unlike women, there is no single bow that's perfect for every occassion. Owl bows are what they are, and no apologies necessary! Dave

Watched a guy at Cloverdale last year shoot one that was 60@27 and it was very quick and dead quiet, also the bow was only like 40 in.(maybe 48 in) or something very small but he was hitting very good with it...he makes some cool looking bows.

Haven't been on this board in quite some time. Life keeps getting in the way of archery!
Anyway, I have a beautiful hunter-osage owl bow and will be getting a gemsbock horn bow from Mr. Scott in the next few weeks.
I have paid the deposit for a week of bowbuilding lessons with Ed Scott already and was scheduled to be there in April, but some family issues came up that required my re-scheduling.
All this is just to say that 1) Ed Scott's a great guy to deal with 2) his bows are beautiful, functional and silent. and 3) you'll be happy with an owl bow.
