Anniversary of Roger Rothhaar and John McDonald passing
«

Gentlemen;
Today is the Anniversary of the passing of both Roger Rothhaar and John C. McDonald. Roger gave us great stories and guidance. John gave us Big River bows. I am proud to say that I have four of John's bows. Both these men left an indelible mark on archery.

Decades ago I called Roger one night and asked for an autograph copy of his book. I remember him being such a down to earth guy and talked with me for quite a while. I was extremely impressed with him for taking that time.

Never met either of these gents, talked with them both several times. Had dinner at Ryan's house once and had a good chat about his father. Brian, I miss John as well. Have a recurve and one each of his longbows.
