ASTB STATE CHAMIONSHIP
« on: February 20, 2025, 09:38:14 AM »
The State Championship is coming up on March 14, 15 and 16th at Briarfield Ironworks Park near Montevallo.
Participants have Friday and Saturday to complete two, 20 target qualifying rounds.   The can shoot both rounds on Friday or Saturday or do one of them each day.  Scoring shall be on the 5-8-10 basis.   No 12’s.   Qualifying scorecards must be turned in by 5:00 pm on Saturday.
The shooters will be paired by class and score for the final round which will be held Sunday morning with a shotgun start.   Pairins and starting numbers will be assigned at 8:00 am on Sunday.
The final results will be determined by the combined scores of all three rounds.
Participants may only shoot in one class, which must be specified prior to the first round.
There is no practice on the tournament course.    There will be a fun course and an Iron Man course plus several novelty events should provide for all of the extra shooting you may want.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Two folks and myself are planning to make a trip over that way on Friday (only) from central MS. Given that we don't have any interest in the championship (we wont be there Saturday and Sunday) I assume that we can shoot the championship course for the entry fee (40 targets)  then be able to shoot the 'fun' range?

Is the fun range on a per round fee basis? I need something to keep us busy shooting bows the rest of the day. Sounds like the fun range will allow that?

For this shoot there are no single round rates.
$30 single or $50 family covers 3 rounds on championship course (including the final round on Sunday) plus unlimited rounds on the fun course.   Rates are same for members and non-members.
